Reimagining working collaboratively workshop

Somali Support Perth, in partnership with City of Canning are hosting a series of free workshops for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse community leaders.

What’s the first thought that you have when attending a ‘networking’ event?

Probably, like most people, you plan on exchanging business cards, if you’re lucky, you remember to stuff the business card in your pocket rather than leaving it on a table. But typically, nothing ever arises from your brief chats of ‘I’m ___ and I do ______ for a living. Here’s my card.’

Networking is defined as ‘the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.’

Could it be that we’re aspiring for something more transformative or deeper than ‘networking’?

What if in this era of change we’re being called to re-imagine our connections to one another and how we might work collaboratively?

Valerie Weyland will take you on a path of discovering the essence of building connections that will activate your passions for leading change.

Community group leaders and new and emerging leaders all welcome.

Hence, the purpose of this workshop is to give budding community leaders a crash-course in the absolute fundamentals of conflict transformation practice: giving you the core skills needed to turn negativity and division into opportunities for collective growth and resilience.
