Looking Thru The Lens - Youth Photographic Competition

Are you 12-18 years old and living in the City of Canning? Got an eye for great nature photography? Love snapping pics of the world around you?

Show us the world through your lens! Submit up to two entries into our ‘Looking through the Lens’ Youth Photography Competition and you could win an awesome prize. Using your mobile phone or digital camera, capture something about your natural environment within the City of Canning, using photography to tell the stories of the flora, fauna and ecosystems around you that you value, and would like to see protected and preserved, now and into the future.

The competition is in honour of National Threatened Species Day so we’re looking for images of natural areas and the wonderful creatures that call them home.

All entries will be displayed in at the Riverton Library for a month-long exhibition, where the public will have the chance to vote for their favourites. All participants will have their photos printed for the exhibition courtesy of Harvey Norman Cannington.

Two free photographic workshops will be held during the School Holidays on Wednesday 7 October at the Canning River Eco Education Centre.

Please submit entries here.
